I really enjoyed reading The Word for World is Forest by Ursula Le Guin. At first, the book
was a bit slow, but as I kept reading I began to enjoy it. I really like the
way she writes, but at times it was confusing because there were so many different
names for the same thing. I think it’s fascinating how the world she creates in
her book is very intricate. I especially liked how she used the concept of dreams
in the novel. I have read some science fiction before, but after reading this
book I’ve become more interested in science fiction.
What we talked about in class today, regarding
science fiction novels, was very interesting. I like how science fiction novels
have a moral or a possible consequence of our actions. They allow the reader to
think about the way they are living and to think about the consequences their actions
can have.
