Humanity vs. Survival

The idea of humanity verses survival is very prevalent idea played around in books and films. The film that we watched today, 28 Days Later, showcases this idea through Selena’s character, where survival is the only way to live. This idea of humanity verses survival tests the morals of humans. In many ways it shows the true nature of humans. Humans react in different ways to different situations, but they will react to who they truly are. For example Selena, who did not hesitate to kill friend.  This mentality is also found in the Danger Word where the Grandfather does not trust anybody, only Kendrick. This idea of morals is very ironic because what these characters fight against is the lack consciences, but in the process of fight these things that lack morals, they too lose their own consciences.
