Zombies
Almost every video game I've played has included zombies in one form or another. There are a lot of diversity to these monsters. There are the generic zombies that are just human beings that had been dead for a while and then returned to the living world, like those in Call of Duty. There is little explanation as to how or why they returned to life, but they look like the definition of a zombie - with rotting flesh and decayed teeth, bones showing. In Bioshock Infinite, a siren brings the dead warriors back to life, and this causes them to return to their weapons and attack the player. This is more like the type of zombie Ms. Potts described in class, where they are more possessed than self-controlling. Then there are games like Dead Space, where the zombies are humans that have been mutated beyond recognition due to a scientific error called a Marker, and these zombies are terrible to look at, with large mouths, fangs, and multiple appendages. Zombies can take on many different shapes and definitions, all that have returned from the dead.
